CNC Machine Operator

Pay :  $20-25 / hr.

Shifts :

  • 2nd Shift Mon-Fri

Position Overview :

  • We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with experience in operating and maintaining CNC equipment such as beam lines, press brakes, lasers, and / or plasma cutting tables. The operator will be responsible for producing high-quality metal parts according to specifications, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous experience operating CNC machines in a metal shop environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes, cutting, forming, and finishing.
  • Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (beam line, press brake, laser, or plasma table, etc.) to cut, bend, and form metal parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
  • Perform machine setups including tool changes, calibrations, and adjustments for different projects.
  • Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and quality.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Follow company safety protocols and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment.
  • Document work performed, track production, and report issues to supervisors as needed.

    • Work Environment :

  • Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, metal, dust, and machinery.
  • Requires use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection).
  • Regularly scheduled shifts, with overtime available as production demands.
