Dental Assistant - Correctional Facility - $20 per hour

CoreCivic is excited to announce an opening for a passionate Dental Assistant dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a correctional environment. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 and a chance to make a meaningful impact.

As a vital member of our dental healthcare team, you will :

• Assist the dentist in the treatment of inmates / residents, which includes setting up instruments for procedures and preparing necessary materials.
• Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety by sterilizing dental units and instruments after each treatment.
• Maintain an organized inventory of dental medications, syringes, and equipment, adhering to established procedures for control and documentation.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean by utilizing appropriate sanitation methods.
• Review dental services provided to ensure there is no inappropriate use or duplication of services.
• Monitor the status of inmates / residents to ensure all necessary dental interventions and treatments are completed.

Qualifications :

A high school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent is required.

At least one year of dental assisting experience is required.

Completion of a dental assistant training program that meets the criteria of the Dental Practice Act in the state of practice is necessary.

A valid driver's license is required.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
