Job description

We are seeking a qualified Pain Medicine Physician to join our team for a locum tenens position in Wisconsin, situated near Glidden. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive outpatient setting.

Position Details :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • End Date : Ongoing
  • Schedule : Flexible; 2 weeks per month, with options for 4 to 5 days per week, typically from 8 AM to 4 PM (timing flexible).
  • Coverage Type : Scheduled clinical hours only

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct office visits and follow-up appointments.
  • Perform various procedures, including :

    • Spinal cord stimulation

  • Radio-frequency ablation
  • Injections
  • Provide exceptional care to patients, with a typical patient load of up to 15 patients per shift.

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Required
  • License : Must be licensed in Wisconsin or possess an IMLC license.
  • Emergency Certifications :

    • ACLS : Required

  • BLS : Required
  • Hospital Privileges : Temporary privileges are available. Hospital / surgery center privileges are required.

    • Practice Environment :

  • Setting : Outpatient
  • Support Staff : Includes 4 RNs and 2 office staff; no supervision of advanced practice providers or residents is required.
  • Facility Certification : Stroke certified with a trauma level of 4.

    • Additional Information :

  • Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 60 days; however, temporary privileges could expedite this process.
  • Holidays Off : New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Travel : Nearest airport is Rhinelander Airport; lodging options are available nearby.
