About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

Must have experience working in different Med / Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro).

Floating experience preferred.

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

License :

Traveler must have active nursing license from permanent address state.

Certifications :

BLS certification required through American Heart Association.

Must-Have :

Basic Arrhythmia experience.

Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to start.

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to float across multiple departments and specialties.

The position involves caring for complex and dynamic patient populations in various medical and surgical general care units and intermediate care units.

Provide high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients.

Recognize and escalate complications and administer appropriate nursing interventions.

Demonstrate a commitment to patient and family-centered nursing care.

Partner with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, advanced practice providers, and medical teams.

Hone interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegate tasks as needed.

Serve as a mentor and role model with opportunities to precept new nurses and students.

Involvement in strategic planning efforts, quality improvement, and shared governance is encouraged.

Travelers may be scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing needs.

During the assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to another unit.

Travelers must have a permanent address 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.

Weekend and holiday shifts will be required as applicable to operations.

A telemetry exam with strict passing criteria will be required prior to start.

Travelers will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam.

If the traveler fails after two attempts, their contract may be canceled.

Competency renewal for telemetry may be required periodically.
