Senior Research and Development Engineer

Overview

A senior R&D Engineer at Cook Medical is a leader in the department tasked with solving engineering problems, developing new products and processes, and leading engineering or company projects.

Responsibilities

• Interact with physicians for deep clinical understand and research new unmet needs in a clinical area
• Develop new patents, prototypes, equipment, processes, and tools
• Design for usability, manufacturing, regulatory needs
• Select, evaluate and interact with suppliers or expert to select and develop materials and designs for components
• Conduct simulated use testing on prototypes
• Utilize experimental or computational scientific methods to optimize design, processes, and equipment to develop process parameters and design outputs
• Accurately and clearly document verifications validations, design history, risk management, and manufacturing instructions
• Able to collaborate, engage and negotiate with multiple stakeholders for best outcomes
• Able to develop and execute plans in a timely manner
• Must exhibit professional behaviors with all members of the organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety and training requirements
