Responsibilities : Perform a vital part of the patient care process by preparing SurePath and ThinPrep specimens for Cytology Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards Champion safety, compliance, and quality control Requirements : Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution NYS State Department of Education Clinical Lab Technician License Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent, preferred Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to : telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms Preferred : 2+ years of laboratory training or experience within area of specialty Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
