FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Our client, a leader in the industrial service and repair industry, is seeking skilled and dedicated Field Service Technicians to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial valves across various manufacturing environments, including chemical, food, general manufacturing, and some power plants. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong mechanical aptitude and at least two years of industrial experience in a field service or manufacturing technician capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform field service work, including the repair and installation of industrial valves.
  • Travel within a 100-mile radius, with only 2-3 overnight jobs per year.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with various mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, adhering to company and industry standards.
  • Operate and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, including a company van.
  • Document all service activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on upcoming projects and provide feedback from the field.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting, preferably in field service or as a manufacturing technician.
  • Strong mechanical inclination and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Experience with CNC machining is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel locally within a 100-mile radius.

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

  • Highly competitive hourly pay, up to $40 / hour for most experienced candidates
  • First year compensation usually from 80K -100K
  • Additional $3 / hour when on the road for service calls.
  • Daily per diem of $40-$70 for travel.
