As a temporary full-time faculty member in the department of Art and Art History, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in traditional graphic design as well as time-based media and interactive design, helping students develop a comprehensive understanding of design concepts and techniques across various mediums and student advising.Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in traditional graphic design and time-based media such as “web-art” vs. “web-design”.
- Advise, mentor and support students in their creative journey; provide constructive feedback and guidance.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and committee work
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and foster a vibrant creative community.
Successful candidates will have experience working with diverse student populations from a wide range of age, ethnicity, national origin, and ability; engage in and develop innovative teaching strategies; effectively assess student learning outcomes.
MFA in Graphic Design, and / or related field.Proven experience in teaching at the university level or equivalent professional experience.Demonstrated expertise in both traditional graphic design principles and time-based media.Ability to teach foundational studio courses.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring students.
