GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Malibu, California.

Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health (Night Shift)

Contract Details :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
  • Schedule : 40 hours per week (5x8s)
  • Shift : Nights
  • OT Opportunities : Available
  • Float Requirements : As needed
  • Extension Opportunities : Possible
  • RTO : Accepted (must be approved in advance; max varies)
  • On-Call : As needed
  • Holiday Requirement : Must be willing to work scheduled holidays

    • Certifications :

  • BLS (required)
  • MAB / CPI (highly preferred)

    • Licensure :

  • Active California RN License

    • Experience Requirements :

  • Strong Med Surg or ER experience required (nurse will work independently on the night shift)
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient psychiatric experience (required)
  • Experience in a detention center, correctional facility, or other secured environment (preferred)
  • Must have recent bedside / acute care experience; Behavioral Health in corrections is acceptable if acute care skills are current
  • Travel experience not required

    • Summary :

    This assignment is within a secured behavioral health setting that serves an adolescent population under court supervision . The RN will provide both psychiatric and medical care in a locked environment, ensuring patient safety while maintaining recent bedside and acute care skills. Candidates should feel confident working independently on nights and balancing behavioral health with Med Surg responsibilities.
