Lean Transformation Coach
Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with operating leaders in business management roles. This role is crucial in driving a shift in operating mindset and ensuring lean principles are effectively applied to support strategic engineering and operational business plans. This involves cultural transformation resulting in step-change engineering transactional performance & business metrics.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Lead and execute the lean transformation within engineering transactional processes to achieve operating goals using KPI-based performance management.
- Coach, develop and collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions including associates, support staff, and the leadership team to help progress our lean culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Be a champion of Kaizen and facilitate Kaizen events to drive improvements using value stream analysis, pull, Kanban, standard work, 5S and single-piece flow.
- Teach, promote, and practice the systematic approach to lean @ GE and build lean conversion roadmaps & overall capability.
- Participate in daily management systems including operating rhythms, genba walks and kata coaching cycles.
- Coach teams using the kata process to drive daily rapid experiments and problem solving in a systematic way.
- Partner closely with business segments to prioritize and improve critical, cross-functional processes across the commercial engine systems engineering team for effective transformation and sustainment.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering and / or training. OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering and / or training.Proven experiences in successfully driving change and transformation.Relocation only offered if willing to move to our world headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.Must be willing to travel up to 50%.Desired Experience & Characteristics :
