Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology MD in California!

About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology / Oncologist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in California, beginning Sep 1, 2025. This role involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, primarily in an office / clinic setting with a minor hospital component, managing an estimated 16 patients per day.

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care in Hematology and Medical Oncology
  • Manage approximately 16 patients per day
  • Work predominantly in an outpatient setting with minimal hospital duties
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and treatment plans
  • Engage in both Hematology (40%) and Oncology (60%) practices

    • Additional Information

  • Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology required
  • Experience in rural healthcare settings preferred
  • Must hold a valid California medical license
