Serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a Waste Management facility. Responsible for calculating payments, checking loads for compliance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed by customers and staff.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Greet and direct customers and traffic entering the facility
Answer customer questions accurately and courteously
Calculate and collect payments for waste deposits
Inspect incoming loads to ensure safety and compliance with materials guidelines
Enforce safety procedures, including required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Scale House
Complete administrative duties including filing and report preparation
Notify supervisor of any issues or concerns requiring attention
Attend all required company training and meetings
Perform data entry and other minor customer service duties
Work overtime as required
Approach all interactions with a friendly, service-oriented attitude
Required: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Additional training or coursework, with 0–4 years of relevant experience
