POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Estimator will be responsible for leading the estimating process, developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating bid preparation, and supporting project teams through preconstruction. This position requires deep technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage all aspects of the estimating process for assigned projects.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and ensure bid completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify project requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and maintain up-to-date cost databases.
• Prepare bid proposals and participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Mentor junior estimators and provide leadership throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliability.
