Description :

Assists Controller with specialized and complex accounting and compliance activities, including oversight and management of non-resident alien, payroll, and accountable plan tax compliance; coordination of the annual Retirement Plan Audit and Single Audit under Uniform Guidance; assistance with hydro projects accounting and financial presentation; assistance with planned gift administration and accounting; oversight and management of the Banner Grant Module; and oversight and management of the Banner Fixed Assets Module, including performing routine accounting processes and procedures related to capital assets.

Your Key Responsibilities :

• Assists Controller with specialized and complex accounting and compliance activities; including New Markets Tax Credit program and hydro infrastructure projects.
• Oversight and management of non-resident alien, payroll, and accountable plan tax compliance.
• Reviews the preparation of annual IRS Form 990, 990-T, and 990-PF.
• Reviews and approves all payroll tax returns, including IRS Form 941 and various state and local payroll tax returns.
• Completes and files annual IRS Form 1042 and Form 1042-S.
• Coordinates annual Retirement Plan Audit and IRS Form 5500 preparation.
• Identifies solutions and strategies to address complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax laws and accounting principles.
• Advises management about impact of tax liabilities.
• Maintains the Banner Grant Module.
• Maintains the Banner Fixed Assets Module, including identification, tracking, tagging and reconciliation of all fixed assets and related asset depreciation.
• Assists with year-end grant reporting and preparation of annual Schedule of Federal Expenditures.
• Coordinates annual Single Audit under Uniform Guidance.
• Assists with planned giving administration and accounting.
