Nursing Assistant - Medical Surgical

Nursing Assistant - Medical Surgical at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour Day shifts. The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to : personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL's, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations. Required Qualifications :

  • Within 30 days of hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • Upon hire : Nursing Assistant certification
