Project Quality Manager

As a member of the Americas Project Quality Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring all Power Equipment Quality requirements and deliverables are met for assigned New Heavy-Duty and Aeroderivative Gas Turbine projects. Accountable for customer satisfaction through management of project related Quality activities and deliverables through collaboration with various Quality functions, including Suppliers, Factories, Engineering and Site Teams. The Project Quality Team provides direct support to the Proposal Team supporting the business development phase as well as the Primary Project Manager during the project execution phase for all Project Quality requirements.
What You'll Do :
The Project Quality Manager (PQM) holds accountability for all quality-related matters within the project and must foster close collaboration with key quality stakeholders, including Site Quality, Supplier Quality, Factory Quality, and Engineering teams.
This role encompasses all quality activities of a project from decision to bid until COD. In this role, you will :
- In Inquiry to Order phase, (ITO) represent GE VERNOVA in terms of quality, facing our Internal / external customers;
- Analyze / comment / negotiate RFQs; to issue the Quality section of the offer and release Project Quality Plans.
- In Order to Remittance (OTR) phase, be the main Quality point of contact for external Customers. In depth knowledge and understanding of the Customers contracts (Quality Plans) requirements and comprehensive understanding of what drives impact for the Customers is required.
- Ensure Customer's Quality requirements while implementing and driving respective functions; release specific procedures and maintain meetings where needed.
- Manage Quality documentation, provide shop quality documentation (EoMRs) to Customer as per schedule.
- Manage the Customer Observation Points, prepare notifications & coordinate visits with our GE Vernova's Manufacturing teams and Suppliers.
- Ensure that the defined project quality objectives are achieved by measuring, auditing and by implementing necessary actions (through audits, Lessons Learned, etc.) to resolve quality issues on the project.
- Coordinate and manage quality activities with stakeholders and Inclusive of our projects construction & commissioning teams at sites.
- Regularly consolidate and analyze project-level quality reports, taking appropriate action based on business requirements and quality standards.
- Champion LEAN principles driving the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and deliverable for our Project Quality organization
What You Will Bring (Basic Qualifications) :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related Power Plant Equipment Studies from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Project Management)5 additional years of experience in Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, within the Power generation Industry.Desired Characteristics :
