Key Responsibilities
System Design : Design and plan distribution systems, which may include electrical power lines or telecommunication cables.Network Optimization : Optimize the distribution network for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Project Management : Manage distribution projects, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Compliance and Regulation : Ensure that distribution systems comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and environmental requirements.Technical Analysis : Perform technical analysis, such as load flow analysis, fault analysis, load, and voltage drop calculations to ensure the proper functioning of the distribution system.Upgrades and Maintenance : Identify opportunities for system upgrades or replacements and plan maintenance activities to prevent disruptions.Quality Assurance : Conduct quality assurance reviews of distribution system designs and implementation to guarantee high-quality standards.Documentation : Maintain accurate records, drawings, and documentation related to distribution systems.Safety : Promote and enforce safety protocols for both employees and the public to minimize accidents and hazards.Collaboration : Collaborate with cross functional teams, including other engineers, field technicians, and project managers, to achieve project goals.Customer Support : Provide technical support and address customer inquiries related to distribution systems.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.5 to 10 years of experience in distribution system design and management.Professional Engineer (PE) license is often preferred, depending on the industry and region. Proficiency in distribution system design software and tools.In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to distribution systems. Strong problem solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges.Project management experience, including project planning, budgeting, and execution.Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
