About the Organization
Our client is a mission-driven organization operating at the intersection of real estate, innovation, and community-building. With multiple active locations and a national expansion strategy underway, the organization brings together leaders across business, civic initiatives, and cultural sectors to launch projects that create meaningful, measurable impact. The team works across capital, policy, and development to translate ideas into scalable initiatives. Their ecosystem includes entrepreneurs, investors, creatives, and strategic partners focused on advancing new models for placemaking, community engagement, and long-term asset stewardship.
This role sits within a growth-oriented environment where commercial projects, civic projects, and experiential spaces come together under one strategic umbrella.
The Opportunity
The confidential client is seeking a development-focused executive to lead real estate development activity across existing assets and new markets. This leader will move projects from concept through entitlements, documentation, and execution while managing deal structure, capital strategy, and partner relationships.
The VP of Real Estate Development will oversee entitlements, lease administration, landlord relations, revenue-share reporting, and vendor / contract workflows. Acting as an owner’s representative with architects and general contractors, this leader will translate milestones into investor-ready updates and ensure consistent progress across the portfolio.
A core part of the role includes structuring creative capital stacks—such as OpCo / PropCo arrangements, ground leases, TI packages, revenue-share models, rights / expansion terms, and partnerships with local funders (including grants, PRI structures, and mission-aligned capital).
This position builds the systems, playbooks, and operating rhythms that will enable multi-city scale.
