Machining Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machining Manager to lead our machining department in a dynamic manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machining equipment.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team, ensure quality production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties Oversee daily operations of the machining department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.

Manage and mentor a team of machinists, providing training on equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify the accuracy of machined components and ensure they meet specifications.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop machining processes that enhance productivity and quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining equipment, including lathes and presses.

Implement best practices for machine maintenance and operation to minimize downtime.

Conduct regular assessments of team performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Experience Proven experience in a machining environment, with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment.

Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred; experience with other CNC systems is also valuable.

Proficient in using hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Experience in assembling components and packaging finished products is advantageous.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
