The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI, supervisory experience in a large hospital or Level 1 trauma center, and expertise in implant and pacemaker safety. This position handles department orientation, teaches, coaches, and supervises staff. Ensures knowledge of the organization's vision, mission, values, and goals. Recommends and helps develop policies to comply with regulations and System philosophy. Acts as Radiology Director when needed.Essential Functions of the RolePlans, designs, implements, and maintains work processes for imaging services. Ensures timely, accurate, and cost-efficient delivery and quality of exams. Complies with System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.Continuously revises processes for operational improvement and efficiencies. Investigates, resolves and documents the resolution of patient complaints.Monitors, evaluates, and modifies staffing patterns to ensure adequate levels. Prepares and modifies work schedules to ensure coverage of all shifts. Approves paid time off, sick time, and leave of absence for assigned staff.Interviews, hires, counsels, and terminates personnel with Human Resources. Completes performance evaluations, rewards, and recognition. Trains new staff. Ensures all registrations and certifications are current and on file. Helps develop staff for career growth opportunities.Partners with the management team and staff to hold multidisciplinary meetings. This ensures timely communication and adherence to the organization's Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals.Facilitates goal setting for staff working in the imaging sections.Monitors goals, achievements and Ensures the outcome of the goals is reflected in the annual performance evaluations.Key Success FactorsMust stay updated on imaging trends, techniques, protocols, and procedures. Maintain skills on equipment for exams for newborns, pediatric, young adults, adults, and geriatric patients.Able to perform high-quality advanced imaging procedures according to exam protocol. Comply with System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Explain the procedure to put patients at ease.Ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service. Remain professional, review patient satisfaction scores, and develop action plans when needed.Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.Able to create operational outcomes for work processes, quality, productivity standards, and measurable goals for employees and project teams.Able to use broader priorities to establish how best to use resources to meet schedules and goals.Able to make or approve effective hiring and termination judgments.Able to evaluate and recommend changes to policies, and establish procedures that affect the managed organization.Basic business knowledge includes annual planning, goal setting, budget adherence, employee compensation, compliance, and risk management.General computer skills include Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.Able to take call, if required.Bachelor's preferredBelonging StatementWe believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported, and that our workforce should be reflective of the communities we serve.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualificationMAJOR - SonographyEXPERIENCE - 5 Years of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATIONARRT-CI Cardiac-Interventional (ARRT-CI), ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), ARRT-CV Cardiovasc-Inter Rad (ARRT-CV), ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M), ARRT-MR Magnetic Res Imaging (ARRT-MR), ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N), ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT-S Sonography (ARRT-S), ARRT-T Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T), ARRT-VI Interventional Rad (ARRT-VI), Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT), Reg Diag Med Sono-Abdomen (AB) (RDMS-AB), Reg Diag Med Sono-OB/GYN (OB) (RDMS-OB), Registered Vascular Tech (RVT): Must have certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or be a Registered Nurse (RN).
