At least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing is necessary.

Description :

Housing arrangements must be secured prior to starting the position.

There have been challenges with travelers finding affordable housing.

This position is for a Medical Surgical RN on night shifts.

The shift schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week.

ACLS certification is mandatory for all Med Surgical travelers.

Experience with telemetry is beneficial but not required.

Basic telemetry knowledge is a plus for this role.

The unit consists of 39 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 6.

The unit does not handle acute cardiac cases, primarily dealing with pacemakers, monitoring, and potassium levels.

Charting is done using the Meditech system.

The facility may occasionally require staff to float to other medical surgical units within their scope of practice.

Scrub colors required are royal blue, which are not provided.

Cancellation for one shift may occur for every four weeks worked, though this is rare.
