Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician Needed near Orleans, CA (j-235820)

Seeking a Qualified and Compassionate Primary Care Physician for Locum Tenens Role

Are you a dedicated Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a beautiful California community? We're searching for a skilled and experienced provider to join our team and provide vital care for patients in an outpatient setting. This temporary position offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the permanent position is filled.

Responsibilities :

Deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse panel of adult and pediatric patients, potentially including some chronic pain management.
Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system, ensuring chart closure within 72 hours.

Qualifications :

Active and unrestricted California (CA) medical license.

Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty is preferred. We will also consider board-eligible (BE) physicians within five years of residency completion.

DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) licensure is also welcome.

Experience in an outpatient primary care setting is preferred.

Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in primary care medicine.

Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families of all ages.

Schedule :

The typical schedule consists of Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm shifts, with a minimum requirement of seeing 18 patients per day.
