American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital position in Arizona with at least one year of experience and an active AZ OT license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care, teaching, Level IV trauma hospitalPosition is in the Occupational Therapy acute care departmentDay shifts, 5x8 hours, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM with one weekend day required per weekAverage daily patient census is 14-16No call or floating requiredBlocked scheduling availableCerner is used for charting and EMR documentationOpen to first-time travelersBlocked scheduling and local candidates acceptedRTO requires unit manager approval, with restrictions during orientation and around major holidaysEggplant color scrubs requiredTeam provides care in a collaborative, seven-day department with opportunities for co-treatmentsFree parking available on siteCandidates must adhere to hospital quality and patient safety standardsAZ OT license application process requires a fingerprint clearance card, with a total estimated processing time of 7-12 weeksReturn travelers must wait 12 months since prior NAH employment; those who cancelled within 10 days of previous assignment start are not eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Arizona requiredMust have at least 1 year of acute care OT experienceCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredGeneralist preferred with confidence managing medical diagnoses and mod-max assist patientsAbility to perform co-treatments, work with ventilated patients, and take on additional evaluations as neededCerner charting experience preferredTwo professional references required prior to start, with one from the most recent employer within the last year\n Benefits\n
