Speech & Language Therapy Assistant - 7.5 hrs / day (Special Education / PC#253610,PC#253465)

Position Summary : Assists a Speech and Language Therapist or Audiologist in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech / language therapy services for pupils with speech and language disorders. Assists in providing training and use of augmentative and alternative communication devices and technology.

Employee Type : Full-Time

Salary : $28.50 - $37.64 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience.

Location : Special Education Services

Hours : 7.5 hours / day; 5 days / week

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours / day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours / day).

Education and Experience : The position requires an Associate’s degree in speech and language pathology and supervised observation and field experience. Clinical experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications : May require a valid driver’s license. Valid registration as a Speech / Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech / Language Pathology Board.
