Schedule 3x12.0 Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends, Holidays / On-Call / Callback / Charge per Unit Job Description The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards. This role assumes an expanded responsibility, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties. Experience in stepdown / PCU is essential. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with high acuity stroke and neurosurgery needs. Perform neuro checks, manage EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, and 3% NS and cardene drips. Monitor and manage arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coils / clips, DBS Insertion, VP shunts, and seizures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Current RN License in New York. BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
