Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Sunbelt Staffing is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a contract assignment in Montgomery, AL. This is a Level II Trauma Center with a high-acuity environment that often functions like a Level I, making it an excellent opportunity for RNs looking to expand their critical care skill set.

Level II Trauma Center

Level III NICU

Primary Stroke Center

Non-teaching facility

71 beds, very high acuity

Required Experience :

First-time travelers : At least 1 year of ER experience in a Level II Trauma or higher + Cerner or EPIC experience

Experienced travelers : 2+ years of critical care (ICU or ER) with the most recent year in a Level II ER + Cerner or EPIC experience

Patient Populations : Multi-system trauma, STEMI, Stroke, CHF, COPD, GI / GU, OB / GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatric

Ratios : ER : 1 : 4

Med-Surg Holds : 1 : 5

ICU Holds : 1 : 3

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI / Secure, NIHSS, TNCC

Skills Required : Trach / vent care, ICU drip management, chest tubes, art lines, CVLs, PICCs, midlines, ports, Foley, splinting / ortho devices, BiPAP / HiFlow, CBI

Technology : Cerner EMR | Plum 360 pumps | Omnicell meds | Spacelabs monitors

Schedule :

12-hour shifts : 7a7p, 7p7a, 11a11p, 3p3a

Weekend rotation every other or 4 per month

Holiday coverage : one major + one minor (not guaranteed off)

4-week schedule cycle

No call

Scrubs : Any solid color
