Lifeguard Position

HealthFitness is looking for Lifeguards to join the aquatics team at our Harvard Recreation client site located in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA). Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Key Accountabilities :

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the aquatics facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed / assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of :

Compensation : $18 - $20 / hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
