We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Conway, South Carolina. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and healthcare industry experience. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Manage sales tax filings and related documentation.
• Record journal entries with precision and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting.
• Provide assistance during the fiscal year-end processes and audits.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare industry standards and regulations in financial activities.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and sales tax procedures.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing corporate tax returns.
• Expertise in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledgers.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
