Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Des Moines, IA 50309 (Iowa nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025 - End : 2 / 23 / 2026) Setting : 22-bed Medical-Surgical Unit (Med / Surg, Y7) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (4 shifts / week) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1880 - $2020 Floating : Required across campuses and similar clinical units Weekend / Holiday : Every other or every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation EMR : EPIC Scrubs : Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Iowa RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience in a hospital or medical center Completed at least one previous travel nursing assignment within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers) Proficient with heparin drips and medication administration Ability to float to other campuses and similar clinical units as needed Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients using the nursing process Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Administer medications, including heparin drips, and monitor patient responses Accurately document patient care in the EPIC EMR system Float to other units and campuses as required for clinical support Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and healthcare staff Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse in Des Moines, Iowa, and take the next step in your nursing career!
