Must-Have Skills / Experience :
1 year of Step Down experience in an inpatient setting is required.
Candidates must have experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care.
Description :
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties consistently with established guidelines of nursing practice and the nurse practice act.
Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.
Provides direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Follows established protocols while working with a variety of patient conditions such as respiratory failure, intoxication, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, and COPD.
Demonstrates teamwork, dependability, and flexibility.
Maintains compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
