Alt Risk Solutions Practice Leader – Lockton

Our Alternative Risk Solutions (ARS) Practice provides clients with captive strategies, structured risk, parametric solutions, collateral facilities, and other innovative risk-financing mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the national ARS strategy in alignment with Lockton's broader Casualty and Risk Solutions practices.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of ARS professionals, focusing on talent development, recruitment, and mentorship.
- Partner with Lockton Series leadership and producers to integrate ARS capabilities into client solutions across industries.
- Serve as a visible market leader, representing Lockton at industry events, client forums, and with key carrier, reinsurer, and capital partners.
- Design, structure, and deliver innovative risk-financing solutions—including captives, structured risk programs, multi-year / multi-line arrangements, parametric products, and collateral optimization facilities.
- Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on alternative risk mechanisms and their integration with traditional programs.
- Oversee development of analytics, modeling, and structuring tools to support ARS placements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global carriers, reinsurers, MGAs, and capital markets to expand ARS capacity and innovation.
- Partner with Lockton Re and other business units to design integrated structured and capital markets solutions.
- Identify emerging risk-financing trends and translate them into scalable client offerings.
- Maintain and further develop best practices for ARS deal structuring, pricing, analytics, and collateral management.
- Drive internal education and training initiatives to expand Lockton's ARS knowledge base.
- Support leadership with pipeline tracking, revenue attribution, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or alternative risk financing with proven leadership responsibilities.Deep expertise in one or more of : captives, structured risk, parametric insurance, collateral facilities, or risk-financing innovation.Strong executive presence with ability to engage senior client executives, carriers, and capital markets.Proven track record of building and leading teams in a collaborative environment.Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to interpret complex models and translate into client solutions.Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to design and scale new products and practices.Open to alternative locations.Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Lockton by 2x.
