Sr Procurement Buyer

As a Sr Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organizations procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will manage procurement projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note : For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Your strategic acumen in procurement and purchasing is instrumental in steering the organization toward efficient and cost-effective operations. You will oversee complex procurement projects and establish robust supplier relationships across AT that will directly impact our financial well-being and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Offering Management Team, Supply & Demand Planning Team, Logistics Teams, Sourcing Program Managers (SPM), and other stakeholders as appropriate to ensure the needs of the program are met.
  • Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and collaborating on improvements to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in purchasing processes, conducting inspections and performance assessments.
  • Participate in implementing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement and project management.
  • Experience with ERP software and reporting tools (SAP Preferred)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Tools

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in working in an S&OP driven environment to drive alignment on key business planning goals.
  • Strong inter-personal and communications skills.
  • Customer-focused and results oriented with a demonstrated ability to balance demand and supply through effective Resource and MRP management.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving experience, effective risk mitigation and proven change leader.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • The annual base salary range for this position is $79,000 - $113,600. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
