Job descriptionProvide leadership and direction, set schedules for assigned projects and assign planning tasks to Planning Team. Monitor project schedule adherence and team responsibilities. Schedule monthly one on ones with team members. Responsible for preparation and completion of planning tasks that are responsive to project needs including the production of planning documents, surveys, reports, and the facilitation of public meetings and steering committee meetings. Schedule and conduct field observations and data collection activities. Develop project strategy for each project that identifies milestones, appropriate planning techniques to be applied, stakeholders, schedule, and overall project objectives. Analyze technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions. Manage projects by coordinating with the client, directing the planning process and coordinating the project team, which may include other disciplines. Coordinate with clients to define work programs and budgets, provide leadership in project planning and strategy including general oversight and planning, project management, project implementation, and ensuring quality of work products. Manage team to execute planning team project assignments. Effectively communicate and coordinate with other team members. Complete work on time and within budget.
Transportation Planning Manager
Selectek has an immediate need for a Transportation Planning Manager in the Raleigh, NC area.
Requirements :
- BS in Planning or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in transportation planning / proficiency in the application of planning techniques on a wide range of project types.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- GIS software experience, required.
- NEPA / SEPA experience, required.
- American Institute of Certified Planning (AICP) credentials Preferred :
- PE
- Experience working with NCDOT
Responsibilities :
Pay Rate :
$100,000 - $140,000 base salary + amazing benefits
