Field Foreman
The Field Foreman is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of assigned Salt Water Disposals (SWDs) and / or Solids Processing Facilities (SPFs) sites within the Company's Water Solutions business segment. Responsibilities include budgeting; scheduling; training and supervising facility operators; overseeing maintenance of the facility and equipment; tracking and reporting pertinent data; and communicating with management, customers, and other stakeholders to achieve safe and profitable sites.
The Field Foreman provides daily onsite guidance and leadership and proactively participates as a member of the operations management team. This role applies technical knowledge to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve interruptions to facility operations. In addition, the role will be responsible for the transportation of injection facility product (solids, slop) on an as needed basis to and from specified locations in a safe and compliant manner.
Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and approve time off requests and / or time worked for direct reports in Workday per management guidelines.
- Manage, mentor and motivate a team of employees.
- Oversee the daily workflow of direct reports.
- Coordinate with HR to interview, hire and train new staff.
- Coordinate with HR to discipline and / or terminate employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)
Must work safely at all times.Strictly follow and enforce all safety requirements and champion a safety-first culture.Approve time off requests and worked time in HR management system, per payroll deadlines.Manage day to day operations of assigned facilities, regularly rotating between sites and maintaining a strong physical presence at designated locations.Work in close collaboration with direct manager to optimize efficiency and profits, with regular communication of facility conditions, customer relations, operational issues, and other pertinent information.Immediately communicate / escalate unsafe conditions, workplace injury or illness, interruptions to facility operations / site closures, spills, customer issues, and other significant developments.Supervise Facility Operators and hold team members accountable for performance.Recognize good performance and work with Human Resources to address and resolve performance deficiencies.Generate reports, such as facility reports to track incoming and outgoing volumes and oil sales.Works to maximize oil recovery efforts.Serve as a role model for employees and adhere to Company policies and procedures along with applicable agency regulations.Complete all administrative and "paperwork" duties in a timely and accurate fashion (e.g., employee time review and approval, expense report submissions, invoice reviews, scheduling, etc.).Rectify equipment issues and coordinate repair.Audits facilities and troubleshoots problems as needed to keep facilities safe and efficiently operational.Execute preventative maintenance work orders on facility equipment.Schedule and manage process waste removal from facility to maximize facility output and minimize down time.Regular attendance at the worksite is required.On a trip basis, conduct vehicle inspections, complete driver's logs, and submit requisite paperwork. At all times, practice strict adherence to DOT requirements.Troubleshoot and recommend equipment modifications to address changing volumes, maximize individual facility throughput, and comply with applicable regulations.Manage facility to meet Op Ex budget.Manage facility consumable inventories of replacement parts and equipment to ensure down time is minimized.Evaluates and captures process conditions and components.Coordinate injection well maintenance.Work with contractors and others (e.g., Engineering Team, Command Center) during special projects.Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment and consumable deliveries to facilities.Operate truck and accomplish solid deliveries in a safe manner at all times.Provide site shift coverage when required.Perform scheduled deliveries in accordance with specified timeframe.Collect, organize and submit delivery bills of lading in a complete, timely, and accurate fashion.Notify supervisor immediately of any vehicle safety concerns.Other duties as assigned.Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of oil and gas industry and oilfield operations, including technical understanding of water disposal and slurry / solids processing with knowledge of pumps and fluid handling.Natural mechanical aptitude.Strong organizational skills.Ability to supervise employees.Exceptional communication skills, with ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn software and systems utilized by Water Solutions Operations team.Ability to serve as a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.Punctual, trustworthy and reliable.Team player.Ability to work well under pressure.Unwavering commitment to safe operations.Working knowledge of DOT regulations and procedures.Attention to detail and technical skills necessary to complete driver's logs and other required documentation.Experience / Education
High school diploma / GED is required.Must be 21+ years of age.3 years of industry experience (oilfield, water disposal, slurry processing, upstream operations, etc.) is preferred.1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.Experience working with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and fluid handling is strongly preferred when assigned to a Solids Processing Facility (SPF).A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the following endorsement(s) is preferred. Note : This may be obtained upon job offer with Company paid CDL Training and Certification.Tanker (N).1+ years of Class A CDL Tanker or water hauling driving experience is preferred.Must have and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Note : This may be obtained upon job offer.SafeLand / PEC certification is required. Note : This may be obtained upon job offer.Valid Driver's License is required.Travel
