About The Position

Job Title : Oncology Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years overall experience and 1 year in specialty

License : Must possess a valid state nursing license

Certifications : BLS, Chemo Certification (ONS / ONCC)

Must-Have : Chemo certification required

Description :

Oncology unit experience is required.

Day shift position with a 3 x 12 hours work schedule, including every other weekend.

Candidates must work 50% of holidays incurred during the contract.

Patient care will primarily involve adults and geriatrics.

The unit has a daily census of around 30 patients and 30 total beds.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

The role includes mandatory floating, with the expectation to float to different units as needed.

Cerner charting system experience is preferred.

Travelers must comply with floating guidelines as established by the facility.

Candidates are required to adhere to all vaccination requirements.
