We are recruiting for a mission-driven Regional Manager of Operations to oversee a portfolio of after school programs in California. This person will be directly responsible for ensuring operational excellence while driving growth across all revenue channels. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this person will manage a team of Program Managers and creating and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and stakeholders while staying true to the Company mission vision, values and goals, ultimately creating a world-class after school enrichment program where every all students will be safe and thrive after school.
Key responsibilities include :
- Leading after-school program managers and communicating company direction, strategy, progress, and bring the company perspective down through the organization, ensuring program excellence through quality control, operating protocols, policies, procedures, and company policies.
- Tracking data and reporting on KPI and goals progress and results, and making adjustments to operations when needed to improve results.
- Managing P / L for several after school sites, and driving business decisions to maximize revenue, customer retention, and acquisition, supporting both internal and external growth within the organization.
- Selecting, training, and supervising a team of program managers and ensure development of skills to manage employee relations, counseling, and terminations consistent with Company practices.
- Leveraging talent assessments and the use of review process to establish regional succession plans in order to identify and develop future leaders and achieve a diverse workforce that will bring Company mission and values to life.
- Creating and implementing strategies that increase employee engagement, reduce attrition, grow diversity metrics, implement leadership development and succession planning processes.
- Assessing annual parent and client surveys and developing strategic plans to address issues identified to improve outcomes.
- Conducting site visits to ensure safety and quality and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Driving consistent focus on quality and educational excellence through the regional team.
The ideal candidate has multi-site operations leadership experience with direct budget or P&L ownership. This person has a track record of managing a geographically dispersed workforce, with a specific focus on coaching and developing managers and building high-performing teams, by building trust, being collaborative and having FUN while doing it. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to toggle between the weeds and the clouds, equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to get the job done, ideally with the following qualifications :
