  • Start Date : November 24, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 23, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Coverage : Every third weekend required\n
  • COVID-19 Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery RN Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (charge nurse experience preferred)\n
  • Active Kansas or compact state Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission)\n
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • Experience with Centricity charting system preferred\n
  • Community hospital or critical access hospital experience preferred\n
  • Ability to float to other nursing units as needed\n
  • 1 professional reference required\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care\n
  • Assist with sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests (NSTs), reflex checks, and sterile vaginal exams\n
  • Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and pain management techniques\n
  • Manage labor and delivery processes, including forceps / vacuum deliveries, neonatal care, and newborn assessments\n
  • Support breastfeeding and lactation, provide discharge teaching to parents, and administer newborn vaccines\n
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, shock, and abnormal fetal heart rate patterns\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response\n
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to infection control protocols\n
