Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician I for a high-volume manufacturing facility in Holland, MI. This role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of production equipment, minor electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and ensuring machinery remains operational and safe. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and dependable.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on production equipment and related controls.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks with minimal downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Prepare and follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Support and communicate with outside vendors for complex or specialized repair work.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Complete maintenance logs, daily reports, and check sheets.
• Conduct general cleaning of machines and work areas during line stoppage or downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational certificate or Associate degree preferred.
• Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

Experience & Skills

• 1–3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of production and processing equipment.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking mindset.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible with shift work in a 24/7 operation.
