Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location : Washington, DC

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 00)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory care as prescribed by physicians for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations including obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens and interpreting test results.
  • Manage mechanical ventilation and artificial airway care for both NICU and adult patients.
  • Administer medical gases, aerosolized medications, and pharmacologic agents related to respiratory care.
  • Provide bronchopulmonary hygiene and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation therapies.
  • Assist in emergency situations including airway management and resuscitation.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and therapies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Active District of Columbia Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, including NICU and adult care (required)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required)
  • Proficiency in mechanical ventilation management and respiratory diagnostics
