Job Details – Columbus Nurse Practitioner Contract

Position Type : Locum tenens (contract / travel nurse practitioner)

Healthcare Setting : Level 1 trauma hospital, Vascular Surgery Department

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Work Schedule : Monday–Thursday, 7 : 00am–5 : 00pm (10-hour day shifts)

Weekend Call : 1 in 4 rotation (Friday evening through Monday morning)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Pay : $4,660–$5,000

Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license

Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of nurse practitioner experience, preferably in trauma hospital, acute care, or vascular surgery

Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Ability to obtain emergency privileges

Key Responsibilities – Acute Care & Vascular Surgery

First assist in vascular surgeries : vein harvesting, arteriovenous procedures, aortagrams, bypasses, angiograms, and endovascular cases

Provide clinical support by rounding on 10–20 adult inpatients daily

Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage rotation

Collaborate with vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers

Float between operating room and inpatient floor as needed

Complete discharge orders and assist with comprehensive patient management

Occasionally participate in trauma cases as part of the acute care team
