Job description

GHR Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Towson, Maryland.

OR RN

Provides specialized perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Ensures safe preparation, sterile technique, and efficient coordination throughout all phases of surgery.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare patients for surgery through assessment, education, and preoperative review
  • Maintain sterile fields and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during operative procedures
  • Monitor patient condition and anticipate intraoperative needs
  • Collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure safe and efficient workflow
  • Document assessments, interventions, and intraoperative events accurately

    • Requirements :

  • Active state RN license or compact license if applicable
  • Minimum two years of OR RN experience
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures
  • Ability to scrub and circulate preferred based on facility needs
