Medical Assistant Position

We're hiring a Medical Assistant to join our Mohs Surgery team in Duluth, GA! In this role, you'll provide hands-on surgical support to our dermatologists and patients during Mohs procedures. This is a full-time, outpatient position with no nights or weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain intake, record vital signs, and prepare them for Mohs surgery.
• Set up and maintain sterile surgical trays, instruments, and equipment.
• Assist providers directly with Mohs micrographic surgery, including tissue handling, bandaging, wound care, and suture assistance.
• Prepare, label, and route pathology / lab specimens per insurance guidelines.
• Provide patient education on pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Scribe provider notes and accurately document patient information in EMA (EHR).
• Maintain infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and manage supply inventory.
• Support administration of local anesthetics under provider direction.
• Monitor and restock surgical suites and supply rooms.
• Respond to patient questions in-office and by phone as directed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a professional, compassionate patient experience.
