Job description

Job Opportunity : Cook

Location : Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Queens, New York

Shift : 6 : 30 AM - 2 : 30 PM

Salary : $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare delicious meals for residents and staff, following recipes, production sheets, and meal schedules.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food handling, sanitation, and storage guidelines.
  • Keep detailed temperature logs to ensure food safety.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of one year of experience cooking in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in cooking a variety of foods in large quantities.
  • Familiarity with cooking equipment and various culinary techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in infection control procedures.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to read and follow instructions.
