Underwriter-Commercial Lines

SUMMARY : We currently are looking for a Commercial Underwriter We offer many benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, Extended Illness Leave, Pension and matching 401K and with a starting annual salary of $61,000.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Determine the degree of risk on commercial policies.
• Review loss history of policyholders.
• Evaluate, accept, modify, reject, cancel and / or non-renew applications or existing policies.
• Initiate inspections and field audits.
• Provide underwriting assistance to agency force.
• Handle all duties associated with treaty exception requests.
• Act as the Flood Coordinator.
• Develop and maintain Commercial procedure Manual.
• Attends and participates in special projects.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
