Salary :

We're looking for a dedicated Structures Designer to join our team in the marine industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural integrity of our vessels, from the initial concept to the final product. You will work in a fast-paced, iterative environment, designing structural components to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

  • All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and there is no relocation included.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Structural Design : Develop concepts, detailed designs, and manufacturing drawings for all vessel structural components.
  • Vessel Design Contribution : Contribute to the overall design of our vessels, including soft goods, layout, mass properties, contingency scenarios, and testing.
  • Due Diligence : Conduct thorough due diligence on designs, including requirements review (human rating, regulatory compliance, human interface, etc.), design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) and cost / weight / performance / schedule trade studies.
  • Project Ownership : Take full ownership of your product's delivery timeline, from conception and design through integration, launch, and recovery.
  • Technical Excellence : Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for all your work.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Experience : 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role with marine composite structural design (internship experience is applicable).
  • Hands-on experience with CAD (Siemens NX, Autocad, Rhino), manufacturing (Fibersim), and Office 365 (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) software packages.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Structural Design (or related) Engineering discipline.
  • Required Skills :

  • Ability to thrive in an integrated, fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for hands-on work, including vehicle / vessel operation and maintenance / repair.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to others.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience : 4+ years of professional experience in marine structural design and analysis.
  • Hands-on project experience, preferably as a team or sub-system team lead.
  • Education : Master's degree or equivalent experience in a structural design or related engineering discipline.
  • Skills : Solid understanding and application of GD&T.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on interpersonal and organizational skills.
