This job performs a variety of basic care services related to activities of daily living under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Acts as a role model for their team and assists the nursing staff in providing patient care according to hospital policies and procedures. Accepts assignments on other units when necessary. Assists in maintaining a clean, well-organized and adequately stocked patient care unit. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience Preferred - Acute care hospital experience and specific experience in the clinical services

Certifications Required - Current state of practice Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA) and (Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) requires renewal every 2 years Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
