Electrical Apprentice

Division :   Bruns Industrial Construction / Bruns Building & Development (St. Henry and Sidney, OH)

Description : The applicant will be assisting a licensed or skilled electrician in wiring projects from the rough-in to finish phase. The position will include installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment, and the Electrical Apprentice will be responsible for a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks. The tasks will progress as the applicant gets experience in the field, resulting in more independence. The Electrical Apprentice will work in a combination of new construction and remodel jobs, with mostly industrial and commercial work being performed. We will offer training with the ability to advance in the field.

Preferred Skills :

• Ability to bend conduit, run wire and follow direction
• Competence with hand tools associated with the craft
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• A basic understanding of how to read blueprints
• Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions
• Performs other duties as assigned
• High school diploma / GED
• Valid driver's license
