What You'll Need:

- ARRT or RCIS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years' Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting required.
- BLS required. ACLS preferred.
- Vocational/Technical degree in RCIS, Radiologic Technology, or accredited Electrophysiology program required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with structured heart and endovascular procedures preferred.
- Experience with Philips and McKesson EMR/technology preferred.
- Ability to use PPE including lead apron and thyroid shield and to work in radiologically safe environments.
- Mechanical ability to operate and maintain complex electrical and recording equipment.

Minimum Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
- Education: Vocational/Technical degree in RCIS, Radiology Tech, or accredited Electrophysiology program required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Clinical skills: Ability to perform patient prep, monitor and record physiologic data, recognize normal and abnormal ECG, calculate drug dosages, and assist with electrophysiology studies and ablations.
- Technology: Familiarity with Philips imaging systems and McKesson EMR preferred.
- Other: Ability to lift and position patients, work flexible schedules, and participate in on-call rotation.

Assignment Details
\n
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Schedule options: 9-, 10-, or 12-hour day shifts (examples: 0700/0730 to 1700/1800/1930) with options for 36 or 40 hours per week.
- On-call: Approximately one day per week and every 4th weekend.
- Floating: May be required to float to other nearby facilities if needed.
- Duration: Travel assignment (13-week duration accommodated; shorter assignments of 8–13 weeks may be considered).

Role Summary

The Cath Lab Tech assists with diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional and electrophysiology procedures by preparing equipment, calibrating monitoring devices, prepping patients, monitoring hemodynamics, and collecting diagnostic data. The role requires rapid assessment skills, the ability to synthesize multiple data sources, sound interpersonal communication with patients and clinical teams, and adherence to safety and billing protocols. The position supports patients from adolescent through geriatric age ranges.
