DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to support Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, MD)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other Health Care Providers.
• Shall be knowledgeable of equipment and supply terminology and skills sufficient to identify and use necessary equipment and supplies properly and to communicate proper use with nurses, medical staff, patients, and family members.
• Shall be knowledgeable and possess skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients. The Contract CAN shall demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the appropriate patient population served : Infants, Children, Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric (>

65).

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree / Education : High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of a medical assisting program recognized and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or, equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience (i.e., military training).

Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Experience : At least 3 years experience within the last three years as a CNA or equivalent training.

Board Certification : None

Licensure / Registration : Valid, unrestricted, CNA license from at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the US.

Citizenship : Must be a U.S citizen.

Compensation will be no less than that required by applicable Federal or State regulations, including as applicable, but not limited to that defined in applicable Area Wage Determination (AWD) tables as required under the Service Contract Act (SCA) $24.15 Per hour.
