Job description

Pay Range : $15

LARGO, FL

Part-time. Weekly hours : 20 hrs.

Shifts Available :

  • Monday to Friday, holidays, and some weekends.
  • Can be flexible with schedule depending on candidate.

Requirements : People person with a sociable, caring, outgoing, spirited and enthusiastic personality, to get elderly residents involved in daily activities.

Experience : Preferred

Description of Position :

Responsible for creating, planning and implementing life enrichment programs that encourage and stimulate

residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities of the Activities Coordinator :

  • Develop cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual programs that promote each resident's quality of life.
  • Develops, leads, and facilitates recreational programs appropriate for one-on-one, as well as small and large groups, that result in residents' satisfaction.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements residents' outings and special events.
  • Develops, leads, and facilitates intergenerational programs.
  • Creates and distributes a monthly Life Enrichment Calendar.
  • Facilitates monthly Resident Council Meetings.
  • Tastefully decorates the community for holidays and events.
  • Plans and hosts community events for residents and families, in coordination with other departments.
  • Orders life enrichment supplies within the department budget.
  • Inspires and motivates staff through consistent leadership, supervision, and coaching.
  • Promotes positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Performs any other duties as requested, within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
